Originally written and recorded by Tropical Hornbills, this song is an ode to the idea of home, wherever you are. "Rumahku", translated from Malay, means "my home" or "my house".

I discovered this song when it was featured in a short film, Simpati, directed by Bruneian director Syafi Halim; it is available on YouTube.

Being away from my country of origin, the song resonated with me as it made me questioned the notion of where home really is.

This single will also be featured in my upcoming LP, nusantarafrika, due for release in November 2021.
